Scott Bartlett This collection is a large-scale military science-fiction and space-opera library focused on humanity's future among hostile galaxies, alien civilizations, massive fleets, advanced technology, mechanized warfare, and interstellar conflicts. The stories range from the military space opera of After the Galaxy and I, Starship to the fleet-centered action of Fleet Ops, the soldier-focused Conscript series, and the mechanized combat of Mech Wars. Several series explore the survival of humanity and the consequences of technological advancement, while others concentrate on soldiers, commanders, starships, and battles fought across distant worlds and star systems.
The collection also includes the interconnected Ixan books, where powerful starships, military fleets, ancient threats, and large-scale conflicts shape humanity's future. Spacers expands into a long-running military space saga, while Starship Omega follows another series of increasingly dangerous interstellar conflicts. Overall, the books emphasize military action, space combat, futuristic technology, survival, strategy, and expansive interstellar worldbuilding, making this a strongly military-oriented science-fiction collection.
