Nick Hornby is the author of the novels A Long Way Down, Slam, How to Be Good, High Fidelity, and About a Boy, and the memoir Fever Pitch. He is also the author of Songbook, a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award, Shakespeare Wrote for Money, and The Polysyllabic Spree, as well as the editor of the short-story collection Speaking with the Angel. This series was discontinued due to issues with the two authors as well as the publishing house. You can't buy the first 4-5 books in the series in print, ebook, or audiobook. An old print copy for one of them can go for like $200 on ebay. So to find the entire audiobook series for such an insanely good price made me take the plunge and buy. I figured even if it didn't work, it was worth the attempt. But the CD came, had everything on it, and I've since converted it to listen to the Books app on my iPhone. Soooooo worth it.
Couldn't believe the great price for this series. CD came in good time, even during the holidays. The audio is slightly lower quality than expected, but once you get into the groove of listening you stop noticing.
