When I ordered these recordings on the page, I was ordering it gave details about how to play the hard copies on a disk and then it failed to come on discs. When I pointed that out and expressed my disappointment, I was told that it would be placed on discs for an additional fee which I paid. I have still not received the discs.
I have many of the Jack Ryan books in physical form, as well as, a few in CD audiobook form. I bought and downloaded this set as a more complete set of the books. So this is more a review of the MP3 download. The purchase and download went smooth and so far the files work as normal on all my usual MP3 player sources (car, PC, phone, etc). Very nice to have the whole set at my fingertips.
disappointed to realize I only received the first three book from the Evernight series. I don't like having to listen an hour at a time instead of the whole book as a download.
I bought this collection because I love the Mitch Rapp series, and having them all on audiobook format was a dream come true. I'm on Transfer of Power, the original book, which I have read several times and know the story. Unfortunately, the second audio file for that book does not pick up where the first left off. There's quite a bit of the story left out between the first and second files (each audiofile is several hours long for this book). It is several chapters' worth of material missing, so if I hadn't already read the book a number of times, I'd be lost. I also listened to my copy of Term Limits from this collection; I didn't notice any big chunks missing, but a number of times, one track/chapter would end abruptly, sometimes mid-sentence, then the next track begins with the start of the next chapter... frustrating to say the least.
So, the process was easy, the price was great (especially taking advantage of the Buy 3, get 50% off deal), but if the whole audiobooks aren't included, it kinda fails the test. I have reached out to Motion Audiobooks about this, but I have not heard back. If I do, and they fix the problem, I will edit my review to reflect that. But at this point, I'm hesitant to buy more collections.
