Stargate movie timeline audio books (non SG-1)

I haven't heard the whole series yet but I've read the first book long ago, before Stargate SG-1 was a thing, and I liked it a lot.
It's more relistic to what would happen on Abydos, no fairy tale prince in shining Air Force uniform but grim exploitation.

I don't like to read books anymore, and the ones above are out of print since like foreverer, so I had to get this version.

The good thing is the narrator. The bad thing is the quality of the files. I assume it's a direct digitalization from the audiobook cassette set.
I assume there was no CD issue and sadly spoken word cassettes were produced in much lower quality than music. I assume cheap ferric tape and no noise reduction at all on the original, but also no de-noising afterwards.

So I asked google what to do, downloaded audacity 3.1.3 (newer versions didn't work for me) and followed a guide to de-noise the files.
Much better now the humm on silent sections.

I'd say this is something the publisher should've done but if I'm the first one to write a review I guess not too many people buy this anyways, like 1 per year or decade? So I'm thankful I could get it at all, even more so that I found it during xmas sale 50% off.

Anyways, I'd love to see a Stargate movie series following these books but I keep my hopes low ;)
